Child pornography and sexual grooming : legal and societal responses.
Child Pornography and Sexual Grooming: Legal and Societal Responses (296pp, 111,955 words) is the first (and only) monograph to undertake a detailed socio-legal and theoretical analysis of child pornography and sexual grooming. It is ambitious in scale and scope, exploring the way that social, legal, political and cultural narratives surrounding child pornography and sexual grooming understand the harms these phenomena pose. It draws on moral panic theory and adopts a social constructionist approach. The aim is also ambitious: to encourage reassessment of social and legal responses to child exploitation and suggest ways forward leading to meaningful actions that empower children.
