Additional information

In 2010 the Reed Foundation (USA) awarded Mica Nava a grant of $46,856 to examine an unpublished manuscript of the US anthropologist Ruth Landes, ‘Color and Biracialism in Britain’, written during the 1950s, and to situate it in the field of postwar UK race relations research. This report is an edited version of the original grant application and the interim and final reports submitted to the foundation in 2011 and 2012, and includes a new introduction written in 2013. The document has been published by the University of East London’s institutional repository ROAR because the Reed Foundation does not make its funded research reports available to the public.
