Additional information

The evaluation of antennae diversity in wireless sensor networks in farm environments detailed in this paper underpins technology that, in 2009, led to the setting up of a University spin-out company: Embedded Technology Solutions Ltd [Chief Engineer, Michael Gilroy, mgilroy@embeddedtech.co.uk]. The company now manufactures wirelessly enabled health monitoring collars that provide a decision support capability to farm operatives. The analysis undertaken within this research supported the collar antenna design.
