Additional information

There have been extensive publications on the role of PET in lymphoma, but this was the first paper to evaluate the prognostic value of PET/CT in HIV-positive patients with Hodgkin lymphoma. We concluded that a PET scan early in the treatment cycle predicts response and progression-free survival in this patient group and, very importantly, provides a basis on which to investigate whether response-adapted treatment strategies can improve outcomes. This was a multi-centre trial across 5 UK centres with Warbey leading the PET aspects of the study. The paper has been published in one of the leading infectious disease journals.
