Additional information

This paper is the first to report on curvature based description of 3D skin lesions. The technique forms the core for building a hand-held skin-inspection device, which was tested in Frenchay Hospital. (Contact: Consultant Plastic Surgeon, Frenchay Hospital, Bristol.) The principle described in this paper was presented at an International Conference “Skin Forum” (Paris 2009) where Zhou was awarded the “Skin Forum Bursary".
