Additional information

This paper showed the effect on the morphology and optical properties of thin film SnO2:F of introducing hydrocarbon additives during the deposition process. The control over these properties was critical to our later work using SnO2:F as the front electrical contact for the production of high quality Si thin film tandem solar cells [see doi:10.1016/j.tsf.2011.05.069], conference presentations [Forum New Materials, Montecatino 2010] and invited seminar, Sheffield Hallam 2013]. Also a patent has been taken out on this process [EP2336388 A1 Centrotherm Photovoltaics AG, DWSheel] and an EC grant has resulted [FP7 NMP 309530].
