Additional information

This paper is the first piece of research to document how Artificial Intelligence can be used to monitor load on marine structures in-service and represents the first major output from a BAE Surface Ships Ltd funded project (£24K) on the load monitoring of marine structures (Contact: Professor Bob Cripps, former Engineering College Director at BAE, b.cripps@longitude.uk.com). The research has led to further publications into the novel areas of using artificial intelligence to predict non-linear and dynamic loads.
