The work presents a new method of treating solid boundaries to improve the numerical performance of incompressible Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) models. This research was the product of collaboration with leading researchers from Sichuan University, China and National University of Singapore. The work was funded by the Royal Academy of Engineering Research Exchange with China 2010, Sichuan University Open Fund 2010-2014 and National Natural Science Foundation of China 2010-2014.
