<23>This work has significant impact in that helmets are not used by many motorcyclists worldwide including South East Asia, South America, Africa and India. The work, to date has been tested in Thailand and considered for use by groups in India and Brazil. The value of the work was internationally recognized by a Japanese insurance company, Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Group through their Welfare Fund with a research grant award from 2009 to 2010.
