Additional information

This novel paper develops and extends the multi-scale methodology to the class of anisotropic materials, and furthermore contributes to a non-trivial task of analysing arbitrary oriented cracks at material interfaces. Critically, this paper also bridges the gap between computational mechanics and biomechanics and offers recommendations to medical practitioners.
