<23> The International Journal of Computer Vision is among the few leading computer science journals. In 2006 it was ranked the first among all 365 computer science journals, with an Impact-Factor-2010 = 5.151. The paper introduces, for the first time in the literature, the concept of "multi-component" shapes. Such a concept can be applied to a number of objects which act as a group, or to a several appearances of the same objects (the idea was shown to be very efficient in the outlier detection problem, related to analysis a sequence of frames, for example).
