Additional information

The data from this paper has been used by Huntsman Tioxide and Kronos, both substantial titania nanoparticle producers. Contacts are: Stephen Sutcliffe (Huntsman) and Andreas Kowalik (Kronos). This paper contains the first detailed chemical model for the decomposition of TiCl4 and forms the basis of a fundamental understanding of the gas-phase synthesis of titania nanoparticles under industrial conditions. Our work on titania has been featured on the cover of Combustion and Flame, no 158.
