<26> This paper, in collaboration with the Multimedia Lab Ghent University (Belgium), resulted in the funded research project “Advanced techniques for distributed video coding (DVC)”. The funding came from the Research Foundation – Flanders (FWO) and totals 170k EUROS for the period 2012-2015. Grecos focused on designing the DVC system in the paper, Lambert ( peter.lambert@ugent.be ) and Vandewalle (rik.vandewalle@ugent.be) focused on designing the DVC system (in the paper and the subsequent project), whilst the rest of the co-authors focused on implementation (in the paper and the subsequent project).
