Calculating Complete and Exact Pareto Front for Multiobjective Optimization: A New Deterministic Approach for Discrete Problems
Work in collaboration with Dr Ming Wang (wangming@bnu.edu.cn) of the State Key Laboratory of Earth Surface Processes and Resource Ecology in Beijing (http://en.espre.cn/) arising from the EU International Outgoing Fellowship ‘Integrated Risk Governance via Spatial Complexity Inspired Models and Algorithms’ (IRGSCIMA - EU Reference 299725). There are many problems with conflicting objectives requiring the production of a set of best solutions that lie along the so-called Pareto front in the solution space. This paper presents the most efficient and thorough method to find the Pareto front from discrete problems such an image classification using sets of patterns and features.
