Additional information

This paper results from an EPSRC project involving Warwick and Durham Universities (EP/E02744X/1 and EP/E026923/1). Following the project, in June 2011, Li Ran was invited to give a seminar on the topic of “condition monitoring power electronics for reliability” at Aalborg University in Denmark, one of the major research centres in power electronics and wind energy technologies. The outcome of this EPSRC project has been recently selected to set up a KTP. The company, Narec (Paul McKeever: paul.mckeever@narec.co.uk), intends to develop a condition monitoring technology for power electronic converters in offshore wind turbines.
