Additional information

This paper was co-authored with John Harrington on a 50/50 basis. The paper’s conception drew upon Ambreena’s law and literature research, John’s law and rhetoric research and combined research on law and governance in East Africa. The introduction, the framing of the paper in relation to anti-corruption governance (pt 2), the critique of anti-corruption discourse in terms of primitive accumulation and excremental satire (pt. 5) and conclusion (pt.6) were jointly conceived, researched and written. Ambreena developed the analysis of the legal profession in irregular land allocation (pt.4) independently, as did John in respect of anti-corruption discourse as satire (pt. 3).
