Significance of output:

This paper presents details of a novel magnetic gearbox, which is the subject of a patent application entitled “Magnetic Gearbox”, GB0910224.5, filed on 12th June 2009. This work has also led to the award of a Proof of Concept award from Scottish Enterprise (Grant Ref: 11-ENR-004), to drive the commercialisation of this leading edge technology, particularly within the electric vehicle market. Allied Vehicles Ltd has supported this work.
