First scholarly edition of Mona Caird, The Wing of Azrael, with introduction and annotations

This edition was prepared by Warwick in accordance with the British Library copy of the 1889 first edition of the novel. The text is unavailable in any other modern or scholarly edition. Warwick wrote annotations (footnotes) for the novel, supplying dates, contexts, allusions, biographical circumstances and relevant comparative material. The primary research (as distinct from editorial) contribution of the edition is to be found in the 10,000-word Introduction (pp. vii-xxiv) which provides one of the few substantial critical discussions of the novel to date.
