Double-weighted statement

We suggest that this monograph should be double-weighted on the grounds that it is based on the collection and analysis of a particularly extensive body of unpublished material drawn from more than twenty archives including Switzerland, Germany, Canada, the USA and the UK. It addresses the geopolitical backdrop to the United Nations campaign for World Refugee Year (1959-60) and the outcomes in relation to refugees from Europe, Hong Kong and Palestine, in the context of the Cold War, decolonisation and Western affluence.
