Additional information

<26> Evocative facial movement creates memorable characters for animated films and computer games. Our physics-based approach has the detail and accuracy required to automatically simulate realistic facial wrinkles, offering advantages over the labour-intensive geometric deformation approaches used in the facial animation industry. It is part of a series of work including two other international graphics conference papers and a presentation at IUPS 2013, highlighting the medical potential of our work. The work has led to a successful Rabin Ezra scholarship bid and a funded EPSRC equipment bid (EP/K031600/1), as part of INSIGNEO, the University’s Institute for in silico medicine.
