Additional information

<15> High Efficiency Video Coding (H.265/HEVC) is the next-generation video coding standard whilst research on its applications over networks is still in very early stage. This is one of the very first few publications in this area, which achieved and empirically evaluated end-to-end HEVC-encoded video streaming in loss-prone networks. This paper has underpinned the successful bid for the on-going EPSRC funded project “Enabler for Next-Generation Mobile Video Applications” (EP/J014729/1), where Dr Wang is the Principal Investigator researching novel mobile HEVC video networking algorithms and protocols based on the testbed described in this paper. The project is in collaboration with Qualcomm USA.
