<28> This paper has motivated important interdisciplinary collaborations that subsequently led to a regional government funded grant (SAN126/VA032/09, P.I.: Prof. Julio Ardura-Fernández, ardura@ono.com) awarded for the period 2009-2010 with a budget of 26.5k€. The paper established a basis on physiological signal modelling and feature extraction leading to the proposal of meaningful pathology indicators in different domains of application. Casaseca, Martín and Alberola focused on development of the methods (both in the paper and in subsequent project) while Simmross focused on the fast implementation.
