Additional information

The analysis of burn characteristics of a modern spark ignition engine with variable valve timing has provided a quantitative description of mass fraction burned characteristics for zero dimensional models commonly used in engine systems behaviour and control studies of this prototype spark ignition engine (based on a modified Ford 1.6l production unit with Ford's first dual independent variable valve timing system).
