If the rationale for double-weighting is not accepted, we wish to exclude pp. 175-181 from consideration of this output, as the argument overlaps with the reserve item (A Linguistic Hermeneutic Approach to Paul Rohrbach's Kriegsbotschaften).

Double-weighted statement

German Images of the Self and the Other rests on extensive primary sources which have not hitherto been subject to detailed analysis. Sources had to be converted from German Fraktur to Roman type, digitized and carefully proof-read before they could be subject to analysis. The methodology combined the Discourse Historical Approach with Computer Assisted Discourse Analysis. These methodologies have hitherto only been applied to modern political discourse. A number of source texts are rare texts not available in the UK. Research therefore involved visits to archives in the National Library of Namibia and the Sam Cohen Library in Swakopmund, Namibia.
