Additional information

The authors of sections of the book are indicated by initials at their close; the sections were independently researched and written by the two named editors, with the exception of an additional section by another author. Ley researched and wrote the sections on Tara Arts, Hounslow Arts Cooperative, Tamasha, Man Mela, Watermans, Asian Theatre School, Rifco and rasa, and the Conclusion.GL also wrote the Conclusion. This volume contains primary research, which was meant also to reflect the highly distinctive nature of the respective archives for companies. The choice of a documented history (with visual referencing) is complemented in the companion volume by the broadest range of Critical Essays on South Asian Theatre as yet published. The researchers were also in contact with those working on other books (Hingorani, Chambers) during the project, and wished to create the best range of resource for study as possible.
