Additional information

Scan acceleration, using data undersampling methods, has become invaluable in MRI, reducing scan times and increasing both resolution and anatomical coverage. In this work we introduced the concept of compressive sampling of dynamic MRI data as acquired with many dynamic imaging protocols for cardiovascular and other applications. We demonstrated that data can be efficiently sparsified by using the Fourier transform over time. This work has been cited extensively (199 citations, Oct 2013) and has been and continues to be the basis of numerous implementations of accelerated data acquisition in MRI.
