This paper presents the first thorough experimental and theoretical investigation in the use of terahertz pulsed imaging for the non-destructive inspection of pharmaceutical tablets. The algorithms developed in this paper have been deployed globally to major pharmaceutical companies (Pfizer, GlaxoSmithKline, Takada etc.) (via TeraView Ltd, Cambridge, P S O'Kelly, COO, Paddy@teraview.com).
