This submission comprises a collection of 58 articles (ranging from c.500 to c.10,000 words) concerning MPs for south Wales (and one for Wiltshire) who sat in parliament between 1604 and 1629. The biographies are an authoritative source for the political and parliamentary history of south Wales in this period. All the articles are based on an extensive corpus of new archival material as well as printed records. Lloyd Bowen is responsible for the research and authorship of these items, with some minor editorial revisions by Simon Healey in small number of instances resulting in joint authorship being recorded.
