Additional information

The paper is one of the very few of its kind that tackles critical problems faced by the implanted device community, including the electrical safety, physical size and crosstalk for multi-channel stimulators. The fail-safe neuromuscular stimulator in this paper has been recognized at the International Microelectronics And Packaging Society (IMAPS-UK 2013) with the “Hereby Award” for most innovative electronic design. The work has also contributed to obtaining funding for an EU-FP7 Integrated Project NEUWalk (www.neuwalk.eu), a €9M project (UCL part €1.15M).
