Additional information

Published in the Journal of Materials Chemistry in 2013 (Impact factor 6.101). This is the first paper to demonstrate that high temperature sintering of TiO2 can be achieved without rutile phase transformation whilst maintaining electron transport properties. It has a direct benefit on the use of TiO2 in photovoltaics and on its use in the processing of TiO2 for water purification. This paper is the outcome of a collaborative venture with Imperial College Physics and Chemistry and Bangor University. This work informed the specifications and installation of a pilot manufacturing facility capable of reproducing this research at large areas (>1m2).
