Additional information

This paper developed, for the first time, globally stabilizing dynamic sliding mode control strategies for uncertain, nonlinear time-varying delay systems. The paper resulted in invitations to present the nonlinear time-delay work at the IFAC World Congress 2011 in Milan in a session on Variable-Structure and Sliding-Mode Control: State of the Art as well as to present an invited lecture to the 12th International Workshop on Variable Structure Systems, (VSS) 2012, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, India (bijnan@ee.iitb.ac.in).
