Additional information

This paper contains the results from the energy and built environment work package of the EPSRC’s CityForm project (GR/S09982/01). The research, which uses measured data to challenge the validity of the ‘zone 1 / zone 2’ assumption used in many domestic energy models, represents the first time researchers had been able to access the individual household energy consumption data held by government (the Department of Trade and Industry).
