Additional information

The paper presents the results of experimental investigations performed by 13 internationally leading research groups in the framework of the activities of the RILEM Technical Committee 225-SAP ‘‘Applications of Superabsorbent Polymers in Concrete Construction’’ (International Union of Laboratories and Experts in Construction Materials, Systems and Structures). A comprehensive approach to the performance analysis of a novel construction material, such as SAP concrete makes the paper a world leading contribution to the current state-of-the-art. (http://www.rilem.org/gene/main.php?base=8750&gp_id=241) Presented study is currently being extended to the durability assessment of SAP composites and to formulation of the RILEM recommendation for practitioners.
