Originality: Funded by United Nations and Department for International Development (UK) to develop a new approach to addressing gender and equity issues in agriculture via reaching rural women on behalf of the Government of India. Significance: Invited to share new approach developed to wider scientific community and practitioners by USAID via Michigan State University, University of Illinois, University of Florida, CIMMYT (CGIAR), Global Conference on Women in Agriculture, New Delhi 2012 Rigour: The approach advocated is implemented in India. Impact: Led to funding (£117K) from CGIAR - CIMMYT to conduct scoping study on gender and equity in South Asia.
