The work reported here was awarded first prize in a Research Conference at Edinburgh Napier University in 2012. It led to three MSc projects and two PhD projects focusing on electroless co-deposition for fuel cell electrodes. One of the PhD projects is a collaborative venture between Edinburgh Napier and St.Andrew’s Universities. Commercial projects include St. Andrews Fuel Cells Limited and Tullow Oil Plc to improve corrosion, wear and thermal properties of plain carbon steels.
