Additional information

Fluid-structure interaction has resulted in both complex applications and computing algorithmic improvements. The research has major applications for civil engineering structures when subjected to fluid flow or wind loadings with the consideration of FSI. Numerical results have been obtained for hypothetical models for the close and open-spillways concrete gravity-dam with the two-way coupling partitioned method for the weak and strong coupled systems in ANSYS FEA software. The research has relevance to off-shore engineering applications. Verification: Mike Willmore, Director of Off-shore Engineering; WS Atkins: mike.willmore@atkinsglobal.com
