Additional information

This research introduced new and efficient strategies for the synthesis of organometallic nano-capsules based on the self-assembly ability of various calixarene derivatives. This understanding has led to further research on the incorporation of a variety of transition metals as either seams for these nano-capsules or as encapsulated arrangements of pure/mixed metals, thereby offering an unlimited range of new materials for study. This includes, for example, their potential as single-molecule magnets and capsules for drug delivery or gas sorption. Verification: Prof Carol A Deakyne, deakynec@missouri.edu, (University of Missouri).
