Additional information

This paper involves the novel application of tri-generation in the food industry. The key innovation is the model and the system integration. The study was carried out with major end-users in the UK and overseas, including Tesco stores. The study led to the identification of large-scale carbon emissions for the industry and is now being applied in many applications e.g. Tesco used CCHP in a number of low-carbon, high profile stores. The study was recognised with a number of leading awards, including the IOR Lightfoot Medal and The Energy Institute, Innovation Award (“Doug Marriott Associates”).
