Additional information

Strongest ever spin-glass ordering in novel bismuth pyrochlores was successfully synthesised only by utilizing the compatible chemistry and valence state of Fe and Te ions. The single phase (Bi1.88Fe0.12)(Fe1.42Te0.58)O6.87 has the highest Fe level among all reported pyrochlores and therefore exhibits a strong spin-glass magnetic transition which has never previously been obtained.

Te-based materials have been intensively investigated as dielectric materials, however thanks to our contribution the interest for these materials have shifted towards both magnetic and photocatalytic applications(DOI:10.1016/j.jssc.2012.10.021)
