Additional information
Hallett was the Principal Editor and major contributor to the volume, producing the critical introduction, commentaries and around 80% of the edited manuscript sources. She selected all the material for inclusion and invited two contributing editors to add their expertise to the volume: one (Berry), an art historian from the US, and the other her Sheffield PhD student (van Hyning) to whom she suggested the sources and whose contribution she supervised. Vol 3 was issued at the same time as Vols 1 (ed. Bowden) and 2 (ed. Lux-Sterritt).
