Additional information
This EPSRC (GR/L74835/01) funded multidisciplinary project involving four universities (Bath, Sheffield, Nottingham and Warwick) was a novel study employing advances in 3D medical imaging to model artificially ventilated patients in adult intensive care. A proprietary compartmental modelling software tool created at Bath (Bathfp) enabled integration of different modelling techniques with data from patients in intensive care, thereby benefitting recovery programmes.
