Additional information

This is the first application of electron paramagnetic resonance to the determination of molecular orientation and aggregation in complex molecular structures. This problem is notoriously difficult to solve even using sophisticated (e.g. synchrotron-based) techniques. By applying the spin-probe to a case study of phthalocyanine-C60 blends, it is shown that the design of blended solar cells can still be significantly improved, even though they have been considered optimised for the last decade. This work led to invited talks at international conferences, including the 7th International Conference on Materials for Advanced Technologies in Singapore(2013).
