Additional information

The evolution of the atomic structure of graphene oxide during reduction has been uncovered at the atomic level using modelling and experiment and feasible reduction methods have been developed. Mattevi (one of the two lead authors) gave three invited international conference talks on this work including the most important conference on modelling for functionalized graphene(Centre européen de calcul atomique et moléculaire(CECAM-HQ-EPFL, Lausanne, April 2012), plus five invited seminars, e.g. Lehigh University, Cambridge University, Leiden University, North Eastern University. This publication led, in part, to two EPSRC grants (£3.5M) where Mattevi is a Co-I, EP/K01658X/1 and EP/K016792/1.
