Additional information

Intravenously injected nanoparticles for cancer therapy must evade the vascular network and find their target tissue, similarly to what leukocytes naturally do. This paper was the first report on the assembly of a synthetic nanoparticle capable of mimicking the transendothelial migration of leukocytes. This development led to US patent application number 20130071329 held by the board of regents of the University of Texas: otm@uth.tmc.edu
