Additional information

This report describes biodegradable mesoporous silicon particles with controlled geometry fabricated by semiconductor fabrication techniques. This work was in collaboration with FEI, leading company in electron microscopy . It is the cornerstone of the multistage delivery system, a nanosystem for cancer treatment that led to over 30 publications (Decuzzi Nature Nanotechnol. 2010, Tanaka Cancer Research 2010, Parodi Nature Nanotechnol 2012, Serda Small 2010, etc). Led to invited lecture for Chiappini and Tasciotti at the Porous SemiconductorsScience& Technology conference in 2010; the leading conference in the porous silicon field. US patent application 20080280140 is held by the University of Texas:otm@uth.tmc.edu
