Additional information

The output presents the first experimental through-wall detections of personnel using passive WiFi radar. It also proposes a new interference suppression method applicable to all passive radar systems. This new technique of exploiting internal illuminators for through-wall covert surveillance is completely different to existing active through-wall radars, so has attracted global media attention in the scientific press. A selection of press coverage can be viewed at: http://tinyurl.com/PopularScienceArticle; http://tinyurl.com/PhysOrgArticle; http://tinyurl.com/LaRepubblica-Article; http://tinyurl.com/WiredUK-Report

It has also led to further funding from DSTL (£12,486) and has been down selected (Oct2013) for funding by the MoD to move the technology toward in-theatre operation.
