This paper describes a method that helps increase the precision of radiographs of equine spinal cords. The results also help in reducing the number of false positive results of myelography (contrast radiography) carried out through extreme flexion and extension of the neck of the horses under general anaesthesia. The new method is used in veterinary surgeries (praxis@hundkatzpferd.at) and included in the internationally recognised handbook of “Issues in Veterinary Research and Medicine”, ScholarlyEditions, Atlanta, USA, 2013.
