New reactive polymer for protein immobilisation on sensor surfaces
Manuscript describes the first application of a novel polymer based on a well-known chemistry for biosensors development. The polymer allows a straightforward and versatile immobilisation of any biomolecule on sensor surfaces. Work sponsored by the EU in the frame of the project BIOGNOSIS, FP6-2004-IST-NMP2, coordinated by Siemens AG (matthias.schreiter@siemens.com). The research reported here has led to 2 following publications: Kyprianou et al. Biosensors and Bioelectronics, 2010 and Kyprianou et al. Talanta, 2013, plus discussions with sensor companies on exploitation are currently on going (e.g. Siemens Technology Accelerator GmbH, Stephan.buchholz@siemens.com).
