Additional information

Plunkett was lead editor for this volume as a whole, responsible for co-ordinating and editing submissions, and contributing a third of the 9000 word introduction that provided an overview of recent scholarship. Plunkett was also lead author for the chapter entitled "Fêtes, Bazaars and Conversaziones: Science, Entertainment and Local Civic Elites", contributing the majority of research findings. The collection, as well as the chapter, were outputs from the AHRC project, 'Moving and Project-Image Entertainment in the South West 1840-1914', for which Plunkett was the Principal Investigator. Co-author, Sullivan, was the post-doc attached to the project, while Kember was Co-Investigator.
