Additional information

The first approach (worldwide) towards progressive computation of image salient-point detection, which is the basis of all video quality assessment and computer vision systems. Key publication in support of an EPSRC proposal on incremental computation for multimedia coding systems (Grant: EP/F020015/1, £233,389, PI: Andreopoulos). Based on this research, Andreopoulos carried out two consultancies on video quality assessment for world-leading groups in conservation of video art and video archiving systems: (a) Tate Museum London (contact: Dr. Pip Laurenson, Head of Time-based Media Conservation, Tate); (b) The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA, contact: Pam Fisher, R&D Project Manager).
